A few months after the Chair’s launch, we welcome 2 PhD Students in our team: Maxens Berre and Vincenzo Buffa. They will respectively work on startup valorization and on Social Impact Bonds, 2 of our keys subjects of our research work.
Formerly Washington DC based, Maxens Berre is a research economist with a master’s in economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, a post-master in banking and finance from Ghent University in Belgium, and six years of work experience as a financial-regulatory economist at EDHEC Business School in Southern France, where he focused on mutual fund governance, risk-adjusted performance indicators, and intangible asset valuation.
He came to Audencia in November 2018 to join the Finance for Innovation Chair, where he is focus on start-up valuation.
Originally from Palermo, Vincenzo graduated in sociology from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales de Paris in general sociology. His research work focuses on the financing of the social sector and its evolution towards financial forms. As part of his master's degree, he studied the opportunity to create an investment fund dedicated to social housing in Italy.
Arriving in Audencia in November 2018 as a member of the "Finance for Innovation" Chair, he starts a thesis on the financing of social innovation through the study of the case of the Social Impact Bonds.
