This year, Audencia welcomes 3 new International Affiliate Faculty professors, to work with the permanent professors of Audencia, as adviser, co-author, or co-researcher.
Thomas Roulet is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Theory, and Deputy Director of the MBA at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School. He is also the Fellow in Sociology at Girton College, which was founded by the feminist movement as the first college for women within the Cambridge University system. He obtained his PhD at HEC Paris in 2014, after graduating from the Grande Ecole Programme at Audencia (in 2009, Majeure Finance). His work focuses on social evaluation, institutional and stakeholder theories, often combining qualitative and quantitative methods. He has been published, in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Annals, and practitioner outlets such as Harvard Business Review. He was the co-editor in chief of M@n@gement from 2017 to 2019. and an associate editor of Business & Society. His work has been covered in the media, including the Financial Times, the Telegraph, the Economist, Bloomberg or Le Monde.
Professor Dimitris Petmezas is Chair in Finance at the University of Surrey (UK). Beforehand he was affiliated with Durham Business School and was a Visiting Scholar at University of Chicago Booth School of Business and New York University Stern School of Business. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Durham University.
His main research interests lie in the area of Corporate Finance and, more specifically, in Mergers and Acquisitions. Further, he is interested in issues related with corporate innovation, cash holdings, asset sales, working capital management, corporate social responsibility and seasoned equity offerings. Professor Petmezas has published extensively in leading international journals including the Journal of Finance, Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Financial Management, and the Journal of Banking and Finance. His research has been featured on the programs of several high-profile international conferences, such as the American Finance Association Conference, European Finance Association Conference and the American Accounting Association Conference.
He will come twice a year. Each visit shall last from 3 to 5 days. As IAF his role consists of discussing any research topic that we focus on (accounting, corporate finance, asset management, asset pricing, econometrics…). He shall advise us on methodological issues, the design of the research question or the structure of a paper, to name but a few. Should there be a mutual interest, he could also become co-author to the articles we work on.
Cristel Russell is a professor of marketing at the University of Pepperdine. She is a leading marketing researcher who has published more than 60 academic papers in major marketing journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Advertising and Journal of Business Research, as well as health and prevention-oriented journals such as the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, Addiction and Psychological Services. She has over 4600 google scholar citations. She is on the editorial board of three major marketing journals, including the renowned JAMS (4*). She has received numerous grants for her research. She is a regular speaker at internationally renowned conferences on public policy, health and prevention research, as well as at academic conferences on advertising and marketing. In 2018, she received the highly prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Union for a project on media literacy for young people at risk.
